We posted a video about a week ago showing how easy it can be to bump open a Sentry Safe that isn't bolted to the ground. A lot of comments came in saying that it should be bolted down (we totally agree but some people can't bolt their safes down, such as people renting a house or apartment.) We recommend our customer bolt their safes down but some don't want to and that's entirely their choice. A solenoid lock can also be opened using a strong earth magnet because as you can see in the video. It doesn't take much to get a solenoid safe to open.

Solenoid locks on a home/firearms safe IS NOT very secure. There’s a few manufacturers using them and this can be done with all of them. A folded post it note is strong enough to depress the solenoid.
